A Messianic Jewish Journey

This week I’m thankful for…

Thursday:

  • Sunshine!!
  • The knowledge that some child support is coming my way. An extremely meager amount by any standards, and less than a percent of what is owed overall, and who knows when it will actually get through the system to me, but it’s something, and it’s on its way.
    … I just realized something …
  • The child support payment being enough to pay for the humidifier that I was thankful for last week, but didn’t (at the time) have a clue how the money spent on it was going to get replaced. (Thank you, God!)

Friday:

  • Sunshine!!
  • The honor that I’m given that a friend who is as guarded as they are special opens up and confides in me, and lets me see the real them.
  • The cold air blowing that made working so miserable and inhibited my recovery getting blocked. (It was unbearable even when in good health.) Yay.

Saturday:

  • The ex taking the kids, overnight, for the 4th week in a row!
  • The opportunity to engage and give dignity to a man who was probably homeless, when he’d been digging through trash.
  • My first workout since I first got sick about a month ago.
  • The chance to reach out to a friend in despair, and show them that they’re cared about.

Sunday:

  • The opportunity I took to get involved again personally with others in the congregation.

Monday:

  • God’s providence which allows me to bless another, even on a really tight budget.

Tuesday:

  • Waking up early and rested enough, with just enough last-minute willpower to work out again after two days of soreness from previous workout, and the strong desire to say in bed. It felt great.
  • My mom’s availability to babysit for me when the sitter is sick.
  • The know-how to troubleshoot and fix my own wireless network.
  • Little boys who love to sleep with their mommas!

Wednesday:

  • The water still working, as it was due for shut-off yesterday and I had forgotten to call and make arrangements.
  • Hopeful news received by a friend who really needed it. Good things coming their way, hopefully very soon.
  • The offer to do some side-work for income which is very needed.
  • Coming home to a hot, home-cooked meal on the table.
